Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, my book launch and all promotional events for Finding George<\/em> took place online in Zoom meetings. I was quite pleased that over 80 people showed up for this first launch event, on over 60 Zoom screens. It was a great pleasure to have Matthew Felix as the moderator, following up on his role as editor\/designer of the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s the story:
<\/em>On a freezing night in 1778, General George Washington vanishes. Walking away from the Valley Forge encampment, he takes a fall and is knocked unconscious, only to reappear at a dog park on San Francisco Bay\u2014in the summer of 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington befriends two Berkeley twenty-somethings who help him cope with the astonishing\u2014and often comical\u2014surprises of the twenty-first century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington\u2019s absence from Valley Forge, however, is not without serious consequences. As the world rapidly devolves around them\u2014and their beloved Giants fight to salvage a disappointing season\u2014George, Tim, and Matt are catapulted on a race across America to find a way to get George back to 1778.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equal parts time travel tale, thriller, and baseball saga, Finding George Washington<\/em> is a gripping, humorous, and entertaining look at what happens when past and present collide in the 9th inning, with the bases loaded and no one warming up in the bullpen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
