Video: Telling ‘The Elevator in Rome’

She looked at me, wide-eyed, with a big smile.

In case you missed the live show (or can’t wait to see it again!), here’s the video of my story, “The Elevator in Rome,” from Tell It On Tuesday at The Marsh in Berkeley in February. Storytelling in the oral tradition. No notes, no text.

Closed captions available. Just click on CC near the bottom of the player.

The written version of this story won a Gold Certificate at the Eleventh Annual Solas Awards for Travel Writing in 2017. Thanks to Dex Craig for the video.
